Nicole Schoen

Nicole is an Australian actor of German and Filipino heritage. She is passionate about multilingual and multicultural stories in an Australian setting. 

Raised in Adelaide, in an immigrant household, Nicole was surrounded by many languages, cultures, flavours and attitudes… both opposing and complimentary!

Steadily on a journey to discover more about herself through performance and producing, Nicole is eager to work in screen projects with diverse scope.

She has trained with Kim Krejus and Iain Sinclair of 16th Street, Adrian Barnes, Rob MacPherson, Jamie Harding and Don Kountouris, Casting Directors; Angela Heesom, Lou Heesom, Ally Reynolds, and Micaeley Gibson.

Nicole’s debut screen role was Ruby in Conor Mercury and Ben Golotta of Repeater Productions’ short film ‘Lean’ (2022) starring Harry Greenwood and Nicholas Hope. She appears in two of Richard Coburn’s Art films ‘Future Commissioners’ for MOD. Exhibition space, and ‘Anomalous’ which screened exclusively at ILA on Light Square.

Nicole worked as a voice coach on Karu-Karu’s series ‘Wishes’ supported by Screen Australia. She coached the main teenage voice actor, and voiced the support role of Teacher. ‘Wishes’ is currently on its festival tour!

In late 2024, Nicole portrayed Alice in Manuel Ashman’s short film ‘7 Minutes to Rice’ which had its WORLD PREMIERE at Flickerfest in 2025.

Recently, Nicole wrapped on an independent feature based in the Riverland of South Australia, with the working title ‘Orange Boy’. As well as, two short films - ‘Extra’ by Benn Brothers, and ‘The Way Of The Wind’ by Nicholas Burt.

PRODUCER BIO

Nicole is a Producer and Actor based in Adelaide of Filipino and German descent. Nicole started her Production career in Support Casting, Extras Casting and Coordination for projects including Firebite (2021), Embrace: Kids (2022), The Speedway Murders (2023), First Day: Season 2 (2022) and Territory (2024).

In early 2023, Nicole worked with Producer Adam Camporeale  of Drive Thru Films on two short films; Blame the Rabbit (2023) written and directed by Elena Carapetis and Produced by Lisa Scott, and The Eaters (2024) written and directed by Gemma Salomon.

Moving deeper into producing, Nicole assisted Producer Ashleigh Knott, on Kavitha Anandasivam's debut short film Boarhead as a Producer’s Assistant. She has also worked as an AD on Quicksilver funded shorts; The Hitcher (2024), I’m The Most Racist Person I Know (2025), and GUTS (2025). Later that year, Nicole worked on Kooky Crazy, No Good Neighbour as an Associate Producer, which was Directed by Mark Samual Bonanno and Produced by Tom Phillips and Ashleigh Knott. 

Nicole has worked for Closer Productions as a Production Assistant on 'Eat The Invaders', and has produced videos with Australian creative agencies including Fuller Brand Creative, and Taxi Films. 

Aside from films, Nicole is a music video Producer. She has produced a variety of Conor Mercury’s music videos including; Kirin J Callinan's 'If I Could Sing', and Avalon Kane's 'The only one who knows me is me'.

Nicole is most interested in stories with linguistic and cultural depth, and is currently developing a Filipino Australian film with Manuel Ashman with the working title 'Balut'.
